Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Myrtle Beach, on the whole, is not a foodie town. It specializes in quantity over quality, built around feeding the hungover masses after a night of partying on the boardwalk. Breakfast has been a particular struggle — I couldn’t find anywhere serving eggs Benedict, French toast, or any of the bougie brunch staples I actually want in the morning.
Then I found Crepe Creation Cafe, and it was worth going back more than once.

The Location
It sits in Market Commons, on the south side of Myrtle Beach — and Market Commons is not your typical Myrtle Beach development. No timeshares that I could find. It’s mixed-use, done well: restaurants, shops, second and third floor condos and apartments, and genuinely thoughtful landscaping. Whoever designed Market Commons understood aesthetics in a way most of Myrtle Beach doesn’t bother with. Crepe Creation Cafe sits right in the middle of it.
The Crepes
Crepes are French, and they take real skill — thin enough to be delicate, substantial enough to hold their filling until your fork gets there. This place does it well. They offer both savory crepes, for people like me who lean toward salty and rich, and traditional sweet dessert crepes with a long list of flavors.

The breakfast crepe we tried was stuffed with roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, onions, and a little cheese, served alongside three sausages cooked exactly right — done, not burnt. Solid, hearty, exactly what a savory breakfast crepe should be.
The classic ham and Gruyère, drizzled with Dijon mustard on top, was even better. If you’re not a mustard person, skip this one — but the Dijon set off the ham perfectly. Balanced, rich, genuinely excellent.
The Dessert Sampler
We split a sweet crepe sampler platter, because who’s turning down a dessert sampler. Three flavors: a chocolate crepe drizzled with chocolate sauce, a lightly sweetened cinnamon crepe, and a bananas foster crepe loaded with banana cream and a heavy caramel sauce. That last one hit like cheesecake — a couple bites in and you’re already full. For anyone with a sweet tooth, this is the one to order.
The Drinks
They have a bar and a good selection of coffees and teas. No full latte bar, which is a minor gap, but not enough to hold the place back.
The Verdict
Most breakfast spots along Kings Highway specialize in mountains of eggs, bacon, and pancakes built specifically to soak up last night’s alcohol. That’s not the crowd Crepe Creation Cafe is chasing. If you want an actual brunch — the kind with craft and balance instead of just volume — walk around Market Commons and go find it.
